oh...and the smells....
Fall puts me in the mood for food, and I love making soup and pie on Sundays (let's see how long it lasts). I want Wesley to bring back Soup Sunday (so I can steal all her soup recipes).
I stole this chicken stew recipe from Southern Plate, and it was so good -- as comforting as the soup your mama made when you were sick.
Here is a pumpkin pie recipe similar to the one I used.

I stopped the food/recipes posts on my blog because my brother commented negatively about them while we were at the beach this summer. Funny how something small like that can change the way you look at something you've done for a long time.
Also, we only do Soup Sundays when cold weather starts, which is about now. I made a Pumpkin Black Bean Soup this past Sunday, which filled the house with similar aromas as your meal did.
Maybe I'll start posting the recipes again--to heck with my brother. Problem is...I only have a handful of soup recipes!
